A Very Fine magazine is close to Near Mint. It will have almost full cover gloss, will appear unread and lay flat. It may have a lightly creased corner, 3 or 4 minor spine stresses and some handling wear.
A Fine magazine is a collectible copy that has accumulated enough minor defects to take it out of the higher grades.
